Listers Dress Up for Charity
Staff were originally invited to come to work in fancy dress, or in more casual attire and make a contribution to the Hospice. However, the idea soon took on a life of its own and many of our staff started to arrange sponsorships and asked friends and customers to get involved. One of our staff, Phil Bloor, decided to go a little further than just fancy dress and go for a comical new hair and face design.
Listers have supported The Douglas Macmillan Hospice for many years as it is well known for its help and support in the local community. Established in 1973, the Hospice clinical team provide specialist palliative care for people facing cancer and other life-limiting illnesses; and help and support for their families and carers. They do not charge for the care and help they provide and rely solely on voluntary donations.
So, as the pictures show, the Listers team had a fun day, their customers were very generous and supportive and they were able to raise over £1000 for the Hospice. Events like these help Douglas Macmillan to carry on its excellent work in providing relief to others.
