From humble beginnings working out of a farm buildings in Essex where our first big contract was making windows for the pig farm, to where we are today, with state-of-the-art factories in Essex and Stoke employing over 320 people; it’s been quite a journey!
GJB was established by Gary John Bristow over 30 years ago, Gary remains in the business to this day. Lister Trade Frames was formed over 40 years ago by the Listers family in Stoke-on-Trent. Fast forward from 1982 to 2017 when Roy Frost and his team bought the 2 companies together into the GJB Holdings Group, now trading as one of the largest fabricators in the UK, Lister Window Systems.

We want to be kind to our world and let’s face it uPVC is an oil derivative but remains a great building product relative to other materials and importantly can be recycled and recycled again. 95% of our factory offcuts are recycled and we enable our customers to recycle the windows and doors they take out of homes to replace with new ones. UPVC can be recycled up to 10 times, and even becomes stronger after recycling. We work closely with our key suppliers Eurocell and VEKA to ensure that the products we make have a high content of recycled materials. Out latest product, ELITIS ECO leads the way in this field and is made from 80% recycled uPVC. Aluminium is the most recycled material in the world and we have the very best recycling procedures in house in minimise any waste.
Our uPVC and Aluminium systems achieve industry leading thermal performance to reduce carbon emissions, delivering housebuilders and homeowners replacement windows with genuine environmental credentials and longevity.
We believe we have the best team in the industry. People are at the heart of the business and we are proud that many of our colleagues have worked in the business for over 10 years, and several for over 20 years. We offer on site training in the factory and have apprentices in our offices to develop new talent.
