Listers Launch New Integral Sash Horn Window
Available in either Elitis Linear or Elitis Sculptor frames, the window operates as a simple top opening push out casement sash, but looks like a more traditional sliding sash window. The sash horn feature is a continuation of the casement sash frame, not a screwed or stuck on sash moulding. So it is strong, secure, weather-tight, draught-free, doesn’t rattle and it looks authentic.
The new sash horn extensions have an elegant design to produce a traditional look to casement frames and are perfect for new build installations, replacing older wooden sash windows or simply adding a little more character to a home.
Darren Pusey, Listers Production Director, has worked extensively with WHS Halo over the last twelve months to produce an integral sash horn system that not only looks authentic but is also relatively easy to manufacture and compliments both chamfered and sculptured systems.
“Traditional sash windows can of course be replaced with new vertical sliding sash windows in PVCu or Aluminium,” says Darren, “and yes, we sell those too! But very often the cost can be prohibitive for the customer and the installation is a much longer process than a simple casement installation. So the new Integral Sash Horns provide a cost effective solution along with a pleasing authentic look.”
Listers and WHS have certainly not been stingy when it comes to choice with the new product. The sash horns are available across both chamfered and featured 70mm systems in all foil finishes both solid colours and wood effects and all those variations on white too.
Listers believe that this new product will be a great success and when it was launched at their recent Trade Open Day it was applauded by all of their 200 plus visitors.
