Listers Customer Support is a Hole in One
A little bit of co-operation can go a long way. In economically challenging times, local businesses’ working together really helps to boost the coffers and create a local network of like minded companies. This was the mindset when three local business stalwarts of Staffordshire ventured into a project that would benefit all those involved.
Stone Golf Club Staffordshire were in desperate need to replace the windows in their clubhouse, but the costs they were being quoted meant it was something kept being put onto the long grass. A local glazing installer heard of their plight and offered to help. Paul Wareham of PW Glazing pledged to install the new windows for free at the Golf Club.
“Stone Golf Club is just round the corner from me and has always been a lynchpin of the community,” commented Paul, “I wanted to do what I could to make sure it continued to be a great place to entertain and enjoy a good days golf.”
Paul got in touch with his manufacturer Lister Trade Frames of Stoke on Trent to see if they could also help. “When Paul came to us with his idea, we were delighted to be able help with the supply of the windows,” remarked Daniel Shaw, Marketing Manager for Listers. “Paul has been an excellent customer for many years and his desire to help a local business was something that resonated with us.”
So in mid August PW Glazing set about giving the Stone Golf Clubhouse a much needed facelift.
The Golf Club chairman, Bert Pillington, had this to say. “We are so thankful to PW Glazing and Listers for coming to our rescue. The Clubhouse looks so much better now and helps us continue our long standing tradition of delivering a quality environment that golfers and visitors have been used to for many years.”
By way of thanks, Bert offered PW the chance to advertise his wares for the next three years at strategic places around the club. “It was really the least we could do and as we’re so delighted with Paul’s workmanship, I have no problems promoting his business where we can,” said Bert.
Paul once again turned to Listers for help who designed and provided him with a bunch of personalised signs that he could use to promote himself. Now Stone Golf Club has a great new modern look and PW Glazing has exposure to a brand new client base.
These three businesses have really got into the swing of things and they all believe that this cooperation will produce a hole in one for them and the local community.
