The Sheerline Classic beaded system is here
National fabricator Listers now supplies the Sheerline Classic Window in a beaded option, allowing installers to supply windows unglazed while achieving ultra-low U-values.
Featuring an innovative clip-in bead system, combined with the Thermlock® multi-chamber design, the Classic window delivers U-values as low as 1.1W/m2K when triple glazed, exceeding the Part L of the building regulations for new build and extensions.
The beaded Sheerline window also achieves PAS24 and has full Secured by Design accreditation.
“The new system brings substantial benefits to our product range. By supplying the window unglazed, it becomes lighter to install and makes replacing glass much easier,” Managing Director, Roy Frost said.
“The Sheerline Classic Window was originally supplied fully glass bonded. While this created a clean architectural finish, installation typically required two men. With the beaded option, the frames and units can be installed separately, reducing manpower and making you more profitable.”
“Supplying frames unglazed also gives window installers greater flexibility over their preferred sealed unit provider, potentially cutting costs.
“With increased demand for triple glazing and lower U-values, these benefits are even more important.
“As the home of Sheerline, Listers takes pride in offering quality products to their customers, and the new beaded window is a natural addition to our range.
The new bead is also pre-gasketed, so it’s just as quick as the other products in the Sheerline range to glaze.
Listers became the launch partner for Sheerline when it added the Sheerline Prestige Bi-fold to its range at the start of 2020.
It followed this with Sheerline’s Prestige Window range, which achieves U-values as low as 1.4W/m2k with a double-glazed unit and 1.0W/m2k with a triple. Listers also unveiled their new Sheerline Lift and Slide Patio Door at the FIT Show in May.
