LISTERS see success with Elitis Aluminium
Lister Trade Frames of Stoke on Trent is now in its 35th year of trading and while they have not been immune to the past few years of economic downturn they have weathered the recession remarkably well. In 2010 they grew the business by 17.5 percent, an increase of some £1.2M.
One area that has helped in this success has been their venture into Aluminium window and door fabrication.
Originally recognising the opportunity Aluminium windows and doors offered some two years ago, Listers did an extensive investigation into the best products and methods of manufacture before launching their branded Elitis Aluminium range early last year.
Listers looked at the market for Aluminium products and at other PVCu fabricators who had tried to enter it and who had failed. They researched suppliers and other well established Aluminium fabricators to get a full picture of what would be required for success. They invested in an Aluminium Projects Manager and a skilled production team. Most recently they have installed a new Elumatec CNC Aluminium profile machining centre to help them to stay ahead of demand.
Phil Warren, Lister’s Sales Director says that sales of Elitis Aluminium windows and doors are now growing steadily month on month providing a new income stream. They have gained new customers and have worked with some of their existing PVCu customers who are trialling Aluminium installation. Listers have always been quick to adopt the latest window and door developments which they believe benefit their trade customer base keeping them ahead of their competition. 2010 saw Lister Trade Frames once again recognised as the UK’s Fabricator of the Year and their enthusiasm for success is bringing them more winning results this year.
