Listers Keen to Keep Staff Healthy
Lister Trade Frames is currently promoting another employee benefit to keep their staff as healthy as possible.
The leading window manufacturing company has included all its staff under the ‘HealthSure’ policy which covers them for any health expenses they incur, including optical and dental care, acupuncture and chiropractic treatment. Employees are also able to cover their partners and children under the scheme.
The policy was developed in collaboration with HealthSure, one of the UK’s leading providers of healthcare cash plans, with over 130 years of experience in providing the best quality healthcare cover.
Listers’ HR manager, Derrith Turner, believes in the importance of maintaining staff motivation and welfare. She explains, “Our policy promotes health and well-being amongst our staff, making for a healthier and happier workforce. Now our staff gets financial support on a whole range of health costs.”
HealthSure policies enable employees to get the healthcare they need when they need it. It is a simple process to claim back money towards the cost of staff healthcare, providing an easy to understand benefit with great value for all. HealthSure also frequently donates to NHS trusts and health related UK charities.
“The benefits are clear,” says Derrith. “The scheme makes for a great reward for staff, a reduction in health and stress-related absenteeism, and a healthier workforce.”
Listers saw approximately 70 staff claims last year totaling almost £3,000. Derrith is expecting this number to increase this year with more staff maximizing their employment benefits, taking care of their health and saving themselves a few pounds too.
HealthSure also hosts an annual Healthcare Awareness Day at Listers, providing staff with policy updates and the opportunity to ask questions about the benefits of the scheme. A key aim of the Awareness Day is to encourage staff to get the best out of their employment health plan and save money on healthcare.
