Listers Celebrate 35 Years – Non Stop!

Lister Trade Frames have just reached a major business milestone by totting up 35 years of continuous trading since 1976 and never phoenixed. The landmark was duly marked by Listers inviting all of their staff, along with partners and children, to an afternoon and evening of fun, food and festivities.

Mark Warren, speaking on behalf of all Listers Directors, said that they are really grateful to their staff for working so hard with them to achieve this milestone. “Our employees are the main reason why Listers has remained so successful for all these years. They are enthusiastic about our business and that shows in their dealings with our customers. It’s this that has helped to continue growing our business despite the downturn.”

The 35 Year Anniversary event was held in a purpose built six and a half thousand square foot marquee which contained both children’s and adult party games including a ‘Bucking Sheep’ and a ‘Surf Simulator’. There were face painters, free ice creams and candyfloss for the kids, guest entertainers, a professional magician and illusionist and even a surprise celebrity appearance for the staff in the evening. From the pictures taken at the event it’s obvious that everyone had a great time.

Mark Warren says that Listers have witnessed a lot of change in both the industry and the economy since their start-up. They have seen window businesses come and go (some more than once) and despite some tough times they have remained successful through sound financial management, always reinvesting in equipment, product improvement and customer service. Mark says that all this would have been in vain if they had not worked closely with their staff to “build a culture of mutual support and constant improvement throughout the business. It’s the people that are important and this party was thrown to say a huge thank you to them.”

Listers have won numerous industry awards and accolades over the years and are well respected as an industry leader. Despite their long established business record they are never one for sitting back and relaxing: So when they say that they have just completed 35 Years non-stop Business, they really do mean ‘Non-Stop!’ And according to everyone at Listers this year will see them taking even bigger steps forward.

35 years is a long time for any company to achieve in our industry, without interruption, but by all accounts Listers have set out their store to complete the next 35.
