Letter to the Editor – First A Rated and Secured by Design Window
It would seem that some people just don’t keep up with industry developments. Nationwide Windows article “First A Rated and Secured by Design Window” is simply incorrect. Had they done a little investigation they would have found that the first company to achieve an A Rated and Secured by Design Window was in fact Lister Trade Frames ltd some 11 months ago in June 2007.
This was widely publicised at the time in all the industry trade magazines and also in subsequent articles and placed in full page advertisements. Listers have been selling this industry leading combination for almost a year now and have helped their trade customers to take a march over the competition. I am never surprised to see others following where Lister Trade Frames leads, but for a company to say that they have achieved an industry first some 11 Months after the event I believe is going a little too far.
But to keep this in context, please let me say that we are pleased to see other companies like Nationwide starting to promote the highest specifications in BFRC Energy performance and Secured by Design security. This can only reinforce the innovation and professionalism that exists in our industry. Perhaps the PR Agency who wrote this article should have checked their facts a little more thoroughly before releasing this misleading article.
