First project for MODUS by Listers
MODUS by Listers has been specified on an 87-plot newbuild development in Essex, thanks to its low U-values and slim sightlines.
Approximately 700 MODUS windows, in a mixture of white and coloured foils, will be manufactured by Listers and installed by Allglass (Anglia) for a local housebuilder over a 14-month period beginning in December 2023. Listers’ Gallery 44 composite doors in a variety of colours will also be installed.
MODUS was originally chosen because the local planning department stipulated that they had to achieve 0.8W/m2K U-values, which is a Passive House level of performance.
As a company, we keep a close eye on industry developments, and we are already talking to our suppliers so that we can install windows into newbuild properties with U-values of 0.8W/m2K, when the Future Homes Standard comes into force.

As a result, we were already talking to Listers about their new MODUS window, which can achieve Passive House levels of performance with a triple glazed unit in a 75mm frame and a very slim rebate
Ben explained that after the products were specified, the planning department relaxed their requirements, and the windows only had to meet a 1.1W/m2K U-value.
Fortunately, with MODUS, we could achieve this with double-glazed unit,” he said, “which meant we could save ourselves extra costs, as opposed to other products that would struggle to go below 1.2W/m2K without triple glazing.

MODUS By Listers is made using profile from Eurocell. MODUS boasts a 75mm frame and sash that accommodates a premium 44mm triple glazed sealed unit. The system design has six equal thermal chambers delivering the optimum energy efficiency performance and can achieve a U-value of 0.8W/m2K.
Modus is available in Listers’ full colour range, including smooth foils, on competitive leads times.
MODUS windows also contain between 36% and 72% of recycled materials in the profiles, helping it to achieve a lower carbon footprint than any other product made in the UK. MODUS uses cutting-edge dual material extrusion technology, which layers post-consumer recycled and virgin material simultaneously – the recycled material is concentrated in the central core of the profiles, where it is completely invisible in an installed window or door.
A regular installer of Eurocell Logik Windows, Allglass has been a Listers customer for eight years. The company supplies a range of projects from domestic refurbishment to newbuild, and from office blocks to schools.
