Listers Once, Twice, Three Times A Winner.
Being long time supporters and entrants of the G-Awards, Listers are no strangers to picking up trophies having won the much coveted Fabricator of the Year Award twice before in 2005 and 2010 along with other awards in-between. However even they were astounded to be once again shortlisted for the 2012 Fabricator accolade.
“Just being selected as a finalist is always a genuine honour and we’ve managed to do that now for the last 8 years in a row. We believe that we are the only company to have achieved this.” said Listers’ MD, Mark Warren. “Winning an award is the icing on the cake!”
The G-Awards were held this year at the London Hilton Park Lane and the evening was filled with the usual good humour, great atmosphere, and professional presentations to a crowd of around 600 guests at the black-tie event.
For Listers it became even more of a special event as they scooped the National Fabricator of the Year Award for an astonishing third time. Mark was obviously delighted: “It’s been a tough few years for the industry and we’ve had to work really hard to stay on top. Winning this award is genuine endorsement of just how hard our staff have worked this last year” commented Mark.
But then Mark got an even bigger surprise when told that Listers had also been chosen to receive the coveted Derek Bonnard Award for Excellence in the Industry.
The late Derek Bonnard was a very special man who was well known and well respected throughout the glazing industry. Derek cared passionately about people – a trait that made him a true gentleman in business. The Derek Bonnard Award was formed in honour of his memory. Companies cannot enter for this award and winners are selected by a panel of judges who look at all aspects of a business to ensure that they are worthy to receive the prize.
“This Award recognises Excellence; a talent or quality which surpasses the ordinary and redefines the standard… With a sustained commitment to influence the industry for good.”
“It’s a supreme honour to receive the Derek Bonnard Award,” said Mark, “This means so much to us as Directors of Listers, to have our company recognised by the panel as meeting such high standards is just incredible. This award is for everyone at Listers including our suppliers and supporters who have helped the company develop into the business it is today.”
The G-Awards once again delivered an amazing event for the Glass and Glazing Industry, recognising the best of the best and Listers were part of the celebrations that went on well into the night.
