Listers are Fabricator of the Year, Again!
Listers work from their 70,000 square foot premises in Fenton, Stoke on Trent. They started business back in 1976 and for the past 34 years they have manufactured windows, doors and conservatories for the Trade throughout the Midlands and the North. Listers employ around 100 staff and have worked tirelessly to gain a national reputation for high quality and professionalism in all aspects of their business.
The Glass and Glazing Industry’s annual awards event (the G-Awards) recognise outstanding achievements in various aspects of business life. There are several award categories including ‘promotional campaign of the year’, ‘health and safety initiative’ and ‘apprentice of the year’ etc, but the most coveted prize to win is the National ‘Fabricator of the Year’ Award which is presented as the highlight of the evening’s ceremony.
The G-Awards were held at Wembley Stadium this year and the gala dinner presentation was hosted by celebrity and comedian Jimmy Carr. Lister Trade Frames have been finalists and winners of the G-Awards for the past 6 years and this year they have once again won the ‘Fabricator of the Year’ Award.
The top national award was hotly contested by 3 other finalists who each stand out as industry leaders: Camden Ltd (Northern Ireland), Consort Ltd (Nottingham) and Everglade Windows (Middlesex), but the body of independent judges chose Lister Trade Frames as outright winners.
The panel of judges look at all aspects of the business including financial performance, customer care, professionalism, innovation, quality and accreditation, customer satisfaction and other unique and outstanding achievements. One of the judges commented that all members of staff at Listers show dedication and pride in their work.
Mark Warren, Listers Managing Director, was delighted by the news; “This is now the second time that we have won this top national award. The first time was in 2005. While we have won lots of other awards over the last 6 years, winning the Fabricator of the Year Award for the second time is something really special and something that all of our staff and customers can be proud of.” Mark also stated that “Tony Higgin who organises these events should be applauded because without these events there would be no independent recognition of these industry leaders except through their own self promotion.”
Listers dedication and achievements have given them national recognition in the G-10 Awards as industry leaders putting Stoke on Trent firmly on the map for excellence in the manufacture and supply of windows, doors and conservatories for the Trade.
