Let’s hear it for the ‘Listers Ladies’
Well done to the girls at Lister Trade Frames Ltd who did the company very proud at this year’s Race for Life charity event!
Five of the Listers’ girls (pictured) completed the 5km race held on Tuesday 10th June around the Trentham estate in Stoke-on-Trent. Together they raised over £1000 for cancer research!
In total over 5,000 women ran the Trentham Race for Life making for a very lively and pink atmosphere! It’s reported that the total amount raised from Tuesday’s event was approximately £375,000 which beats the fundraising target by a long way!
Also well done to the girls for beating a time target set by their Operations Director, Andrew Gray. For completing the race in record time, Andrew kindly increased his donation which inspired a few others to do the same.
On behalf of the lovely ladies, Linda Kelsall, the radiant receptionist at Listers commented, ‘We’d all like to say a big thanks to everyone that sponsored us for their kind donations! I ran the Race for Life in memory of my dad who died of cancer back in 1994 and greatly appreciate everyone’s support! The night was a huge success and we hope we did everybody proud!’
