This partnership is about raising awareness, backing research, supporting families, and helping make Lily’s dream come true. It is also about doing something practical and long-term for a cause that means a lot to our team.
We want to use our platform, our people, and our wider community to make a real difference.
At Listers, what we do goes beyond the products we make and supply.
We believe in backing people, supporting families, and getting behind causes that matter. That is why we are formalising our support for Ring20 Research & Support UK as our official Charity of Choice.
This is a cause that is close to the business and close to our team. It is personal, and that is exactly why it matters.
Through this partnership, we will help raise awareness of Ring Chromosome 20 Syndrome, support the charity’s work, and keep building momentum through fundraising activities throughout the year.
Ring Chromosome 20 Syndrome, often shortened to Ring20 or r(20), is an ultra-rare neurological condition linked to difficult-to-treat epilepsy, cognitive decline, and behavioural challenges. Awareness is still low, and many families spend a long time searching for answers and support.
That is why awareness matters. The more people understand Ring20, the better the chance of earlier recognition, stronger support, and more progress through research.
Ring20 Research & Support UK supports families affected by Ring Chromosome 20 Syndrome, raises awareness of the condition, and helps fund research and practical support. The charity’s own site explains that it relies on donations, fundraising, grants, sponsorships, and volunteers to keep that work going.
For many families, that support is vital. It helps them feel less isolated and gives them access to people who understand what they are facing.
Our partnership with Ring20 Research & Support UK is about helping that work continue and grow.
For Listers, this cause is personal.
One of our colleagues has a daughter, Lily, who lives with Ring Chromosome 20 Syndrome. Lily is bright, determined, and full of life, and her story is at the heart of why this partnership means so much to us.
Supporting Ring20 means supporting Lily and families like hers. It means helping raise awareness of a condition that often goes unseen. It means making sure families feel supported, informed, and understood.
As this campaign develops, we will also be raising funds to help make Lily’s dream come true and to give her and her family the support they deserve.

Our support for Ring20 did not start today.
Last year, our Managing Director, Steve Gardner, took on Ironman Mallorca 70.3 to raise money in support of Lily. It was a huge challenge, but one with a clear purpose.
Thanks to the generosity of staff, customers, partners, and the wider community, the fundraising effort raised over £12,000.
That showed what is possible when people come together behind the right cause. It also helped set the direction for the long-term support we are now establishing through this partnership.
Our fundraising continues with Carl, Listers’ IT Director, who will be taking on two charity race events in support of Ring20 Research & Support UK.
Carl has completed the Stafford Half Marathon, achieving a PB, finishing in 2:12:03!
He will also be running the Leeds Marathon.
These events are about more than the finish line. They are about keeping awareness high, building fundraising momentum, and giving more people the chance to get behind the cause. Both races have live official event pages that can be linked from the landing page.
We will be sharing updates on Carl’s progress, promoting his fundraising activity, and encouraging support as race day gets closer.

Our campaign is focused on three clear goals.
Help more people understand Ring Chromosome 20 Syndrome and why awareness matters.
Back the work of Ring20 Research & Support UK and help families feel less alone.

There are several ways to get involved, and every bit of support helps.

Small actions build momentum. Momentum helps raise awareness, support families, and fund vital work.
