Listers’ Staff have Staying Power!
Lister Trade Frames based on Fenton Industrial Estate started as a small family run business over 35 years ago. The company grew and so did the workforce, now it seems the staff just don’t want to leave. Listers’ Directors assembled over 20 staff in their showroom in February to celebrate and thank them for their continued dedication to the company.
19 members of staff were recognised for completing more than 10 years service, and a further 2 for 15 years long service. So what is it that makes Listers such a great company to work for?
Ron Maskery, Listers Commercial Manager says ‘I’ve worked with Listers now for 18 years, during that time I have worked closely with our customers and it’s always satisfying to hear their comments on what a great reputation Listers have for both quality and service. Listers have always been a forward thinking company quick to respond to change. This attitude has kept me on my toes, keeping my job both interesting and challenging. Over the years I’ve received all the necessary training and encouragement to fulfil my role within the business. There’s a real sense of teamwork throughout the whole company and it’s great that every single member of staff is recognised as an asset.’
Listers culture of ‘constant change’ and improvement has often seen them lead the field in the Fabrication Industry: 2010 saw them win the G-10 Fabricator Award for a second time in 5 years. This approach gives their staff a dynamic and energetic working environment and a general feeling that they are appreciated and an important part of the business. But it seems obvious that there is one thing that Listers endeavours not to constantly change and that is their hard working and loyal staff.
