9 is Fine for Listers
And that’s what happened to Lister Trade Frames of Stoke on Trent at the National G-Awards in London. Recognising the cream of the crop in the Fenestration Industry, Listers have been a common fixture of the awards having been winners and finalists for the last 9 years running. 2013 however brought rare treats to the table as Listers were finalists in a record five categories, a feat never achieved before by any company.
“To be finalists in 5 categories is an incredible honour,” said MD Mark Warren “and genuinely we were delighted just to be recognised. The competition this year was of a very high standard and to be mentioned in the same breath as some companies which in stature are much larger than us is testament to the way we operate our business.”
And so en masse, the Listers posse ventured down to London to attend the highly salubrious event at the Park Lane Hilton Hotel. Hosted by the comedian Dara O’Briain, the event was a fantastic night of fine dining, comedy and recognition. The icing on the cake for Listers came when they received the award for the G-13 Environmental Initiative of the Year.
“It was a fantastic achievement to scoop the Environmental award,” said Mark “and one that we’re very proud to have picked up. We have tried over the last few years to really make a difference to the way our industry handles its waste materials and those of its customers and it’s a real bonus that our efforts have been recognised by the industry as a whole.”
What makes this even more impressive is that 2013 is a record 9th consecutive appearance as finalists and winners for Listers at the G-Awards, underlining how they have consistently made improvements for their customer’s year on year and kept their company ahead of the competition. When asked why Listers had been so successful, Mark replied “It’s down to the people who work for us. They have been the difference between mediocrity and excellence. Without us all working together as a team, we wouldn’t be able to achieve the accolades we have done over the years.”
Listers have been flying the flag for Stoke on Trent businesses for over 38 years and have recently broken into the list of the top 30 Fabricators of windows in the country.
The signs are good are for Listers and with 9 years of continuous recognition under their belt they’re looking for the perfect ten in 2014.
